The Best Start

Puppy and Kitten Vaccinations

Bringing home a new puppy or kitten can be both exciting and daunting! Here at Bilston vets we aim to guide you through the early stages with full support and advice.
Puppy vaccinations start from 8 weeks of age and kittens from 9 weeks. Both require a course of 2 vaccines initially, followed by annual boosters.
Puppies need to remain at home and in their own secure garden until a week after the second injection. After this time they can start their walks and burn off some energy!
Kittens, although also protected 1 week after the course, ideally need to remain indoors until they have been neutered and are better able to take care when out alone!

Parasites

Always unpleasant but often very harmful, these unwanted visitors need to become part of every pet owners responsibility. There are many preparations available from several retailers but we always advise seeking advice from a Veterinary professional, ensuring effective safe products to control and prevent both internal and external parasites. We supply and advise on all routine treatments ensuring that the product used is the best for each individual. Often these are simple to use prescription spot on treatments which protect against and treat worms and fleas. Used monthly our products protect against potentially fatal lungworm infections.

I am new to Bilston Vets but I oh so wish I’d come here years ago. Brilliant Vets & staff are great.
